Marie has been active in the Auxiliary since 1980 having served the Auxiliary in many capacities including Past President. She was an active participant in the District having served as President, Treasurer and is currently serving as District Secretary. Marie was State President 1994-95 and is currently serving as State Musician. Marie has also been National Musician for 2 years and Assistant National Musician for 3 years.

Marie is a retired music teacher from the Prince Georges County Public Schools in 2002 after 36 years experience. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Salem College, Salem, WV and her Master’s Degree from Maryland University.

Following her retirement, she worked as Financial Secretary and Music Director of Hughes United Methodist Church until 2020. Currently Marie directs the bell choir at Asbury Methodist Village and continues helping at the church part-time.
