I joined the Army in 2005 at the age of 29 to be a 25U Signal Support Systems Specialist. My first duty assignment was in Hawaii with the 25th Infantry Division 68med (DustOff). I was deployed to Iraq for fifteen months. Became a Sargent in 2007 after my first deployment. Did many months of training and support for other units on the Big Island of Hawaii and at the National Training Center (NTC) Fort Irwin, CA. My second deployment came in 2010 back to Iraq. I PCS'd to Fort Campbell in 2012, was assigned to 3-187 Iron Rakkasans, and deployed with them to Afghanistan in 2011 and again in 2013. After the last deployment, I PCS'd to Fort Gordon, where I was assigned to be an instructor for AIT soldiers.
In 2017, I was medically retired from the Army and started my career with the Government as a System Administrator. I also started working on my bachelor’s degree with UMUC now known as UMGC in 2017 and in 2019, I received my bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking and Cybersecurity. I am currently working for the Fort Belvoir Hospital.
