Born: Mendoza, Argentina on June 30, 1939

Immigrated to America in January 1958 and became a citizen in 1963.

I lived in Fresno, California from 1958-1961 while finishing high school and attending Fresno State College.    I volunteered for the U.S. Army in 1961 and served for 20 years.  During those years I was stationed at Fort Ord, Fort Mamouth, Fort Eustis, Fort Lewis, Fort Gordon, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 2 tours in Germany and a year in Viet Nam.  At Walter Reed I served on the Generals Staff in Administration.  I spent approximately 6 years at that facility.

I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Hospital Administration while serving at Walter Reed with classes given by Southern Illinois University College.

Upon retirement from the Army, I was employed at the United States Soldiers Home in Health Care Administration and served them for a total of 22 years.

I joined Silver Spring Memorial VFW Post 2562 in 1976.  I became very active and volunteered to run for offices and gaining experience serving the VFW.  I became Commander for the first time in 1982 reaching All-American status, District Commander in 1985 and began running the Department of Maryland chairs as State Chaplain 1991-92, State Surgeon 1992-93, State Judge Advocate 1993-94, State Jr. Vice Commander 1994-95, State Sr. Vice Commander 1995-96 and Commander 1996-97.

I have served in many capacities in the Post and the State VFW Organizations having served three times as Commander of the Post, as well as three times District 2 Commander and as State Commander.  In recent years I have been serving as Adjutant to our Post Commanders.
